The purpose of our trip to the tortuguera was to view jungle habitat and it did not dissapoint. We knew ahead of time that we were going to be too late to witness the turtles emerging from the sand but we did see the huge craters that were left on the beach.

Our river at last flowed into Caribian where upon we back-tracked about a mile or two and found where we were going to lodge.
