Kirstenbosch Botanic Garden

Situated on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain at the Cape in  South Africa, Kirstenbosch Botanic Garden boasts a much read about collection of rare and threatened species of plants from all over Africa but especially its Porotia.  If you are a plant enthusiast of any sort don't miss this garden when in the area of the Cape while South Africa.

It was a very dark and rainy morning the day I was there and not very conducive to photography.

 

You could either expose Cape Town and miss the plantings ...

 

... or expose the gardens and miss out on the skyline scenery

I guess I could look up the latin name for this Leucospermum but not likly to see it again I would only forget it.
